What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pack Team Supervisor position at Lunar Distribution?
Lunar is looking to hone its attention to detail by developing our packaging operations. To help us accomplish this task, we will be filling the role of Pack Team Supervisor. The Pack Team Supervisors will ensure Lunar’s superior packaging team moves succinctly with other teams in the warehouse to get client shipments out of Lunar’s doors at our gold-star standards each week. The supervisors will do so through a variety of tasks including the following.
Weekdays: 6am-4pm or 8am-6pm Weekends: 8am-5pm - schedules include Sat-Wed, Sun-Thurs.
$18 per hr bonuses
Responsibilities
- Packaging Supervisors will work with floor managers to build “pods” of packers using knowledge of team members and aligning their ability for teamwork. The supervisor will rearrange as necessary to ensure packers keep even and healthy workflows. The supervisor will work hand-in-hand with the pick team supervisor to create a daily list of processing teams.
- Packaging Supervisors will monitor packaging throughout the day to make sure all standards are followed through with and deadlines are being met. Above all, they will be aware of time sensitivity and attention driven.
- Packaging Supervisors will assist in meeting goals through packaging when needed.
- Packaging Supervisors will deal with any direct pod concerns, including supply issues, equipment concerns, workflow issues, or teamwork issues.
- Packaging Supervisors will lead initial training and revisit training for all packers to ensure standards are well known and followed from initiation to Lunar’s team.
- Packaging Supervisors will effectively communicate all pertinent updates and other information to the team.
- Packaging Supervisors will ensure all packages are properly labelled an palletized for transport to their appropriate shipping companies.
- Packaging Supervisors will work with the Director of Operations and Floor Managers to develop new product packaging approaches. This can include the development of new packaging techniques, requesting new packaging tools, or the innovation of new packaging containers.
