Team Member (9:00AM - 3:00PM)

Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic team member to join us! Our team members spend most of their time crafting sandwiches and salads, managing orders, and working the cash register. There is also a good amount of prep work and cleaning that goes into our daily operations. We pride ourselves on delivering "The Best Thing on Sliced Bread!" Therefore, we are looking for team members who can prepare orders accurately and in a timely manner while taking the effort to ensure that the presentation and quality of each item you make is truly excellent. We will have a consistent weekly schedule for you , covering at least 9am-3pm Mon-Fri is required, with options to stay until closing and working Saturdays for 40 hours each week.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Preparing Sandwich and Salad orders with speed, precision and TLC.
• Ensuring that the quality and presentation of every item you make is excellent.
• Uses Point of Sale system/cash register to record orders, collect payments and make change.
• Demonstrates a complete understanding of menu items and explains them to guests accurately.
• Exhibits an enthusiastic and helpful manner when dealing with customers.
• Checks products in assigned areas and restocks them throughout the shift.
• Cleans as directed.
• Understands and adheres to all quality standards, recipes and procedures.
• Makes sandwich and salad orders according to our standards and portions.
• Understands and adheres to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards while preparing food, servicing food and clean up.
• Performs light paperwork duties as assigned.
• Maintains professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Completes coursework as directed.

Requirements:

• Education: A great attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn is all that we require. This position requires a solid understanding of the English language.
• Experience: Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instructions. Previous food preparation or restaurant experience is always a plus. The willingness to work hard and to learn new things is really all one needs to thrive at our company.
• Physical: Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. Position requires bending, standing and walking the entire work day. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
