SUMMARY
The Associate Director (AD), Specialty Channels maintains a patient-centric approach to directing, monitoring, and enhancing Specialty Channel partner (ASOC/AIC/Home Infusion) operations. The AD will develop and oversee critical Channel partner relationships and implement/oversee contractual obligations of Channel partners to support the product and patient journey and ensure an optimal customer experience. The position will report to the Director, Specialty Channel Strategy and collaborate closely with colleagues across the organization including Patient Access Solutions colleagues, Sales, Marketing, Advanced Analytics, Supply Chain, Finance, Market Access Field team and Legal.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oversees the strategic account management of Channel partner relationships.
- Leads contract negotiation/implementation including financial return on investment analysis.
- Monitors strategic Channel partners’ performance to ensure contractual obligations are meeting or exceeding expectations.
- Leads development, oversight, and delivery of account level strategic account plans.
- Oversees day-to-day management of ongoing Channel partner-focused programs, inclusive of improvements to reporting and performance tracking and identifying issues and providing effective solutions.
- Manages the performance of Channel partners to contract terms (eg, SLAs) and conditions through tracking of metrics (eg, conversion and persistency).
- Partners closely with Channel Operations and Advanced Analytics teams to continuously evaluate and analyze strategic Channel partners’ performance relative to goals and objectives.
- Manage strategic Channel partners’ escalations by identifying innovative, cross-functional driven solutions.
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR’s) and other summits with strategic Channel partners; prepare all materials, communicate expectations with each account, and continuously drive performance while identifying key insights to incorporate into strategic planning efforts.
- Ensure all activities are operating at the highest level of ethics and compliance by demonstrating in depth knowledge of laws that govern market access and channel activities.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
- Accredited Bachelor’s degree
- 7 years of commercial experience (e.g. Market Access, Trade and Distribution, Sales, Marketing, B2B Strategic Account Management
- Experience with Specialty pharmaceutical products.
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships and expand our presence with key customers.
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to thrive in a performance-based culture that is fast paced, and results oriented.
- Expert user of PowerPoint, Excel
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
- MBA, MHA, or Graduate degree or advanced training in business, pharmacy, or related fields
- 1 years of experience in pharmaceutical Trade Relations with demonstrated deep understanding of Trade processes and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with Specialty Infusion Provider or Alternate Site of Care channels.
- Experience with CNS or Neurology
- Experience with negotiating contracts and managing budgets.
- Experience with physician administered specialty pharmaceutical products.
- Advanced training in market access discipline, including strategies and tactics for launches, ongoing promotion, and loss of exclusivity.
- Experience writing and executing contracts (payer and/or trade)
TRAVEL
- Willingness/Ability to travel up to 40% domestically. International travel may be required.
The range displayed is a national range, and if selected for this role, may vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s geographical location, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Salary Pay Range: $180,000 - $200,000 and eligibility for a 20% bonus target based on company and individual performance, and eligibility to participate in the company’s long-term incentive plan. Benefits for this position include flexible paid time off (PTO), health benefits to include Medical, Dental and Vision, and company match 401k.
