What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facility Integrated Pest Management Technician position at Lundberg Family Farms?
As the Facility Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Technician at Lundberg, you will be responsible for implementing our facility-wide integrated pest prevention program. These programs maintain the highest level of pest prevention and food safety readiness, as well as adherence to company and regulatory standards of health, safety, and hygiene. You will also engage all departments and divisions to ensure successful program implementation.
This is a part-time position, working roughly 24 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Become key contributor in the areas of organic pest prevention. Provide support to all divisions in the areas of pest prevention.
- Perform daily processes including the monitoring of pheromone, pest, rodent, and mosquito control throughout the facility, offsite storage, Mill & Dryer/Storage bin inspections, and pilot plant areas.
- Participate in pest identification training and execute industry current corrective action/treatment methods to all stake holders.
- Accurately input pest data to assist in analysis for trends requiring corrective action.
- Document usage of all pesticide chemicals.
- Knowledgeable in the areas of organic pest prevention, organic rodent/bird control, facility sanitation practices, and organic pesticides.
- Working knowledge in grain harvesting, storage, and milling preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to draft internal communication in English.
- Useful knowledge of basic formula calculations.
- Basic Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, Outlook).
- High School Diploma
- Must maintain a valid CA driver’s license or in the state of residence and meet insurability standards of our auto insurance carrier.
