What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at Lundberg Family Farms?
Description
As a Material Handler you will ensure that all product is properly delivered to and from the thin cake department using the ERP software for inventory movement and control. This position will also setup next shift with all production materials for all changeovers.
Must be able to work Grave Shift (10pm - 6 : 30am), with flexibility to train on other shifts.
Responsibilities include :
- Palletize on the production line when not setting up production runs or moving materials.
- Remove finished pallets to warehousing. Wrap and placard all finished pallets.
- Utilize computerized inventory system, including scanning equipment to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Transfer incoming ingredients and packaging materials physically and electronically to process areas as requested by operators.
- Operate forklift to ensure all materials are in place before and during product runs.
- Report any vehicle, equipment, or condition that is not fully functional immediately to the supervisor and / or safety coordinator.
