Description
As a Sales Planning Manager with Lundberg Family Farms, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth of our business by developing compelling selling assets, driving cross-functional collaboration, and translating data into actionable insights. Reporting to theDirector of Customer Marketing, you will be the key link between Sales and Marketing, ensuring the successful execution of go-to-market strategies.
The position is primarily remote based, with occasional travel to our home office in Richvale, CA and relevant customer / industry events.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Translate Insights into Action
Research, analyze, and communicate syndicated data insights that position Lundberg as a thought leader in the category.
Develop persuasive, data-driven selling stories that enhance the effectiveness of the sales team.
Collaborate with external agencies to create insightful reports and customer presentations from planning to execution.
2. Own the 4 P's & Drive Sales Growth
Leverage fact-based insights to develop an assortment strategy that balances scale, opportunity, and profitability.
Monitor and communicate pricing and promotional guidelines while identifying competitive opportunities in the market.
Work with sales leadership to identify distribution growth opportunities in retail and foodservice channels.
3. Advocate for the Sales Team Cross-Functionally
Lead the commercialization process for new product launches, ensuring a successful go-to-market strategy.
Serve as the "voice of sales," providing expertise in planning, decision-making, and competitive positioning.
Support sales teams by preparing for key customer meetings, line reviews, trade shows, and other milestone events.
Requirements
6 years in Category Management, Sales, Trade Marketing, or Commercialization within CPG.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Advanced understanding of Grocery, Mass, and Natural channels; Foodservice knowledge is a plus.
Strong ability to transform data into actionable insights using syndicated data platforms (IRI, Nielsen, SPINS, Numerator).
Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Google Data Studio, SQL, or Bedrock Analytics).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with confidence to report to executive leadership.
Understanding of Category Management principles, P&L dynamics, and financial analysis.
Preferred :
Category Management Certification and experience developing compelling sales content.
