JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for developing and facilitating an engaging new hire experience through interactive in person and virtual learning experiences that will prepare new hires for their individual roles as well as general working success at L&B. This individual is also responsible for supporting other learning and development programs such as Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) training, Leadership Readiness Program (LRP), and the Learning Management System (LMS); specifically, scheduling, administration, student outreach and support among other activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished. There are many necessary activities to satisfy any of the following performance guidelines.
- Develop, maintain and facilitate engaging and interactive learning sessions for new hires to prepare them for success at L&B. This training may be in person, remote or via LMS and will include orientation, position specific basic skills and other topics as needed
- Serve as the backup facilitator for the Learning Program Facilitator. This may include hosting and/or facilitating programs such as CFPM, LRP, Culinary Professionals, or Pride & Purpose New Hire Orientation.
- Create and maintain a schedule for sessions as needed to meet the business need, monitor enrollment/registrations and conduct other preparations to ensure learners can access all tools and resources as needed
- Collaborate with category experts to develop and maintain departmental training for retail stores.
- Conduct needs analysis for locations to determine unique learning opportunities and create learning sessions to fill store needs
- Develop and administer project plans to collaborate with stakeholders and ensure goals and objectives are achieved in a timely manner
- Participate in other learning events as needed, to include development, planning, organizing, facilitation and ordering and arranging of supplies. Examples include: new store orientation, Hospitality Refresh, Store Supervisor training
- Administer the day-to-day activities of the LMS, including entering courses, maintaining registrations, developing courses/certifications, maintenance, customer service, and reporting
- Develop, update and facilitate entry level supervisory in person workshops
- Work with Quality Assurance, Asset Protection and others to develop, update, deploy and track attendance for compliance trainings to meet the evolving needs of the business.
- Utilize professional content development tools to convert and create high quality learning assets to be deployed on the LMS
- Become a subject matter expert on the LMS and authoring tools as well as any other tools added to the L&D function. Gain and maintain this working knowledge by researching and exploring available resources and share your knowledge and learnings with the rest of the L&D team
- Collaborate with the learning and development team to establish and update processes and protocols for Learning & Development projects, document storage, content management, and design standards as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education
- Required: Four-year BS or BA in Organizational Development and/or similar degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience
- One to two years' similar or related work experience is required
- Industry: retail store experience, preferably with supervisory experience preferred
- Facilitation experience required
