Visionix USA, a leader in vision care innovation, is seeking a Depot Repair Technician for our growing Lombard facility. The Depot Repair Technician performs all necessary tasks to resolve unit breakdown and return the customer’s unit as per product specifications. This will involve triage, diagnosis, repair, validate full functionality, document as required and collaborate to improve. Tasks to be done following Best Manufacturing Processes in an ISO environment.
Requirements : Responsibilities :
- Use tools to perform mechanical, optical, electronic, and software service repairs.
- Ability to adapt and learn new computer programs and technologies.
- Identify and report all adverse events and device deficiencies to Level III or Supervisor.
- Complete work orders for depot repairs and service.
- Complete / Upload work order paperwork (including checklists) within 24 hours of job completion.
- Communicate procedural suggestions, machine improvements and problems to the Supervisor.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Keep personal work area clean and regulatory compliant.
- Inventory Control as per Supervisor instructions.
- Work closely with the regulatory department to keep the department in compliance.
- Participate in maintaining and improving processes and outputs.
- Creating and updating SOPs for the department.
- Work with service team and R&D to solve installation and operational issues when applicable.
- Assist with service department as directed based on ability.
- Other duties as assigned.
Proficiency / Training :
Cross train on Visionix Diagnostic Products (VX650, VX130 , VX120DE, VX110, VX65, EyeRefract).

Must have the ability to lift and small carry parcels, packages and other items, to walk short distances. Environment is enclosed electronic assembly area with sealed floors, climate control system, fluorescent lighting, ESD (electrostatic discharge) protected workstations and ESD sensitive material. Hand Dexterity (system communication cable attachment)
