Special Services Extended Year Program Openings (2025) - teachers & paraprofessionals

Anticipated Staff Openings--Special Services Extended Year Program (Mondays - Thursdays, July 7-17 and July 22 - Aug.7, 2025, unless otherwise noted) Pre-School Special Education Teacher (1) Special Education Teacher--Academic Tutoring, K-7 Math and ELA (2) Special Education Teacher/Paraprofessional--Academic Tutoring to support high school Educere summer class(es) (1) Intensive Special Education Teachers--Primary, Elementary, Middle & High School/ACE (4) Special Education Teacher Substitutes Paraprofessionals (some positions will require ABA training). Wilson/OG Tutors (1) Speech Language Pathologist (1)--(Extended Year Program Schedule to be determined per students’ needs) Occupational Therapist (1)--(Extended Year Program Schedule to be determined per students’ needs) Physical Therapist (1)--(Extended Year Program Schedule to be determined per students’ needs) School Nurse (1) BCBA (1) Supervisor for ESY Program (1): Assist in coordination and supervision of ESY program. Set up work (April-June) $50 per hour (up to 45 hours total) and $70.00 per hour during ESY dates. Licensed Special Education Teachers: $50.00 per hour. School Nurse: $70.00 per hour. Special Education Paraprofessionals and Paraprofessional Substitutes: salaries per Lunenburg Public Schools applicable salary schedules. All current staff employed during the summer will earn FY26 hourly rates. Related Services Staff: $60.00 per hour. General information: The Special Services Extended Year Program will run July 7-17 and July 28 - Aug.7, 2025, Monday through Thursday. Summer program hours are 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (Preschool and Academic Tutoring hours are 8:30 -11:00 a.m.; Substantially Separate programs are 8:30-1:30 p.m.). 1 hour of prep time will be allotted to teachers each day for planning and prep purposes. Number of staff and programs will be determined based upon student enrollment. Start/end dates for some of the listed positions may fall outside of the main program schedule. Applicants who can work the entire ESY schedule will be given priority in hiring. If applicants need time off during ESY (vacations, family commitments, etc.) they MUST notify Julianna Hanscom when applying for the position. Hiring is subject to satisfactory CORI and SAFIS Background Checks per 603 CMR 51. These positions will not be filled prior to Feb. 18, 2025; if any of these positions are still vacant following this date, the posting will remain open until qualified applicants are found.
