About the Role:
As the Site Manager, you will oversee and manage all aspects of the site operation, ensuring optimal efficiency and profitability. You’ll lead a team of 7 full-time heavy equipment technicians and oversee a fleet of 30 pieces of equipment, including wheel loaders, material handlers, and dump trucks. Your role will involve collaborating closely with the client's team and ensuring exceptional customer service in a high-demand environment.
Site Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of site operations, including safety, environmental compliance, financial performance, equipment maintenance, and customer service, while optimizing efficiency and profitability.
- Lead a team of heavy equipment technicians by developing maintenance plans, schedules, and performance goals, while managing overtime, conducting evaluations, and providing training.
- Start each shift with a Safety Toolbox chat to review schedules, complete job-specific HIRACs, and set clear expectations for technicians, holding them accountable for safety and performance.
- Coordinate and oversee routine services and repairs, implementing a preventative maintenance program, ensuring quality and efficiency, and maintaining accurate documentation, including oil sampling and environmental responsibilities.
- Build strong relationships with customers by attending meetings, providing updates on equipment uptime, addressing KPIs, and collaborating on asset needs and yearly planning.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections, assist with safety audits, and ensure timely completion of KPI and CID reports for internal meetings and customer presentations.
- Review and analyze financial statements and reports to identify improvement areas, manage site capital projects, and assist with asset planning and forecasting.
- Assist accounting with invoices and payments, negotiate equipment contracts, and maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, rental agreements, and maintenance schedules.
- Monitor and maintain company assets, tools, and inventory, conducting spot checks on technicians’ trucks and ensuring compliance with maintenance and safety standards.
Site Manager Requirements:
- Proven experience in maintenance and operations management, with a strong background in heavy equipment. Prior experience as a technician is ideal.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Customer-focused approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Financial acumen, including experience managing P&L and analyzing financial statements.
- Proficiency with computer systems and maintenance platforms.
