Position Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Power BI Developer to design, develop, and deploy dynamic and interactive business intelligence dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data analysis, data modeling, and visualization using Power BI. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into impactful insights and actionable analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Dashboard and Report Development:

   • Create visually compelling and interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
   • Develop, test, and deploy Power BI reports that align with business requirements.

2. Data Analysis and Transformation:

   • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Power BI.
   • Create and optimize DAX formulas to deliver dynamic measures and calculations.

3. Data Modeling:

   • Design and implement robust data models in Power BI (star schema, snowflake schema).
   • Ensure data accuracy and integrity through effective data transformation and validation.

4. Collaboration and Requirements Gathering:

   • Work closely with stakeholders to understand and document business requirements.
   • Translate business needs into technical specifications and design scalable Power BI solutions.

5. Performance Optimization:

   • Optimize Power BI reports for performance and user experience.
   • Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks in reports and dashboards.

6. Training and Support:

   • Provide training and guidance to end-users on how to use Power BI tools effectively.
   • Offer technical support for Power BI-related issues and enhancements.

7. Governance and Security:

   • Implement row-level security (RLS) and other data protection measures.
   • Adhere to organizational standards for data governance and compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Service).
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction and querying.
  • Familiarity with integrating Power BI with different data sources (SQL Server, Excel, APIs, cloud platforms).

• Data Analysis & Visualization:

  • Expertise in creating clean and intuitive visualizations that drive decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI principles for report design.

• Data Modeling:

  • Ability to design and implement relational and multi-dimensional data models.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts is a plus.

• Problem-Solving:

  • Analytical mindset with a focus on solving complex data challenges.

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) is a plus.
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or R for advanced analytics.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics).
• Microsoft Power BI certification is highly desirable.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar role.
