Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of the chef or kitchen supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste.
- Follow proper food safety and hygiene procedures to ensure the health and safety of customers and staff.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Support menu planning and execution by preparing ingredients, garnishes, and sauces as needed.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of any shortages or expired products.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively with colleagues and offering assistance when needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and culinary terminology.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Sundays are mandatory.
- Certification in food handling or willingness to obtain one.
