Key Responsibilities:
Staff Oversight & Leadership:
- Start your day in paradise by clocking in and ensuring your team is ready for an amazing shift.
- Contact and check in with team members to ensure everyone is on board.
- Kick off the morning with an upbeat 2-minute staff standup to set the tone for the day.
- Plan and coordinate schedules for a smooth-running, high-energy environment.
- Mentor and motivate staff, fostering a positive and supportive workplace.
Facility & Dog Management:
- Stroll through our sunny, vibrant facility to ensure all dogs are happy, comfortable, and in the right place.
- Maintain pristine play yards and luxurious suites, ensuring everything is stocked and clean.
- Conduct and oversee fun and welcoming Meet & Greets.
- Oversee Special Attention dogs, ensuring they get the VIP treatment they deserve.
- Monitor health and wellness by reviewing medications, diets, and scheduled services.
- Ensure all boarding dogs have enough food for their stay—because happy dogs mean happy tails!
- Prepare for daily baths and grooms, keeping our pups looking and feeling fabulous.
- Conduct weekly inventory checks for all supplies so our resort runs seamlessly.
Incident & Communication Management:
- Use technology to review incidents, provide training opportunities, and continuously improve operations.
- Keep open lines of communication with fellow supervisors, management, and staff.
- Connect with pet parents to provide updates, ensuring trust and confidence in our care.
Administrative Duties:
- Keep things running smoothly by reviewing schedules, medication reports, and daily summaries.
- Assist with updating and maintaining the Daily Board to highlight special activities, like photo sessions and playgroup rotations.
- Ensure check-outs are seamless and that every guest leaves as happy as they arrived.
- Engage in daily team stand-up meetings to keep the flow of communication strong and effective.
Operational Support:
- Jump in wherever needed—front desk, bathing, playgroups—whatever it takes to keep our resort running at its best!
- Ensure the facility stays in top condition, with shaded play yards, fresh water, and comfy resting spots for all dogs.
- Wrap up each day with a final walkthrough, confirming all tasks and services have been completed to perfection.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Passion for dogs and a commitment to their well-being and happiness.
- Leadership skills that inspire and uplift a dynamic team.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, outdoor setting—sunshine and all!
- Previous supervisory experience in pet care or hospitality is a plus.
- Understanding of dog behavior, playgroup management, and safety protocols.
- Tech-savviness with scheduling and reporting tools like Homebase.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be active throughout the day.
Schedule & Reporting: This exciting role requires a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The Supervisor reports directly to the Assistant Manager and collaborates with the entire team to keep our dog resort running at its absolute best.
