About the Position
We are seeking an experienced and successful Management Systems / Data Analyst (Rail Transit Systems) to support data analysis, reporting, policy, process, and system improvements leveraging technological solutions for large, complex transportation projects ($100M-$5B). The successful candidate will utilize their data analysis skills and technical expertise in transit, especially rail transit, including but not limited to signaling systems, CBTC, fare collection systems, platform screen doors, etc., to document, refine, and enhance processes, produce advanced reporting frameworks, and align operations with systems while adhering to holistic, ISO-based practices. They will also support the development of insightful data visualizations and reports to drive informed decision-making across the organization.
This is a long term, full-time, on-site position located in Washington DC.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership to document, standardize, and optimize key processes, ensuring alignment with systems. Identify gaps and inefficiencies, implement improvements, and maintain a central repository for documentation.
- Conduct regular system audits and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and compliance. Resolve user-reported issues and work with technical teams to propose and implement system enhancements.
- Lead business process and system improvement projects, ensuring timely delivery of milestones. Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives, develop work plans, and monitor progress to align resources and goals.
- Develop and refine reporting frameworks using tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Excel to provide actionable insights and support decision-making.
- Act as a liaison between IT and business operations to ensure operational needs are met. Communicate system requirements, recommend solutions, and support training while gathering feedback to improve functionality.
- Ensure processes and systems adhere to policies and data security standards. Monitor compliance with regulations and identify reporting needs for enforcement.
- Prioritize and manage process improvements and system enhancements, including testing and deployment. Provide training and support to promote user adoption of updates
- Create training materials and deliver hands-on support to prepare staff to independently use, maintain, and execute documented processes and reporting tools.

Compensation Details
The salary range listed for this role is $60-150k annually. The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidate's level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications / licenses that have been obtained, etc.
