About the Position
We are seeking experienced and results-driven Risk Specialists to join our team and support the implementation of critical processes that ensure safety, resilience, and compliance across large-scale heavy civil projects and programs. In this role, you will play a key part in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, contributing to the overall success of the project while collaborating with a high-performing team of professionals. This posting is for future long-term, full-time, on-site positions located in the greater Houston metro area or potentially other areas around the state.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the creation of a risk management plan, risk policies, and procedures.
- Responsible for risk management including risk identification, assessment, and mitigation planning.
- Develop risk register format including scoring system, fields to track, and risk breakdown structures.
- Manage the client's update cycles, continuous risk monitoring techniques, reports, and dashboards.
- Expertise in developing comprehensive project schedules, including task sequencing, duration estimation, and milestone identification to ensure timely project delivery.
- Ability to identify and prioritize the most crucial tasks that impact project timelines, ensuring potential risks to the schedule are proactively managed.
- Proficiency in coordinating and allocating resources efficiently to prevent bottlenecks and ensure all project activities align with the schedule, minimizing the impact of risk.
- Lead risk workshop sessions for risk identification and planning.
- Manage the interaction between all project stakeholders relative to risk management.
- Manage contract risk including coordination of contract review with legal, bonds, insurance, etc.
- Review and analyze terms and conditions associated with proposed Controlled Insurance Programs.
- Coordinates operations & management, safety, human resources, legal and other stakeholders.
- Develop and implement governance structures for risk management.
- Conduct training sessions for team members on risk management practices.
- Collaborate with IT to ensure data security and compliance.

Compensation Details
The salary range listed for this role is $90k-$134k / yr; $43-$64 / hr. The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidate's level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications / licenses that have been obtained, etc.
