About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Project Scheduler to join our team supporting a range of projects. In these roles, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling activities across various initiatives. This hands-on position provides the opportunity to directly influence project outcomes. By analyzing, monitoring, and maintaining project progress, preparing and evaluating reports, and developing solutions, you’ll contribute to the successful delivery of our transportation projects.

This is a long term, (3 years) full-time, onsite position located in New York City area, NY.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze owner/project manager and contractor prepared CPM schedules, baseline schedules, and monthly schedule updates to identify critical paths, near critical paths, milestone impacts, phasing shifts and potential trends.
• Perform schedule audits on project schedules to ensure data is “risk ready.”
• Analyze schedules for opportunities to reduce schedule critical path duration and recover delays by creating and analyzing what-if schedules.
• Analyze contractor delay claims through the application of forensic scheduling principles for merit, quantity, concurrent delays, excusable versus inexcusable delays, compensable versus non-compensable delays, et cetera.
• Continuous analysis of schedules and provision of alternatives and expected outcomes to avoid any schedule delays.
• Prepare and present schedule analysis presentations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business administration or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• 5 years of experience scheduling for heavy civil infrastructure construction projects such as roads, bridges, aviation, or transit projects.
• 5 years’ experience with construction scheduling software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Work, Excel, etc.)
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering, construction management, business or related field.
• 10 years of infrastructure experience in transportation and highways.
• Schedule risk analysis experience (e.g., Monte Carlo Analysis, etc.)
• Experience creating and presenting technical presentations in group settings and meetings.
• Expert level forensic scheduling skills, including the use of forensic scheduling software.
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI, or other dashboard KPI reporting software.
• Knowledge of construction when working in proximity to active MTA operations.
• Knowledge of MTA, MTA C&D, and NYCT operations, policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations and industry safety standards (e.g., OSHA).
• Knowledge of Roadway Worker Protection, OSHA, and other necessary regulations.
  
  

Compensation Details

The salary range listed for this role is $124k-190k/yr. ($60-$95/hr.) The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidate’s level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications/licenses that have been obtained, etc.
