We’re currently seeking a dedicated Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team at Luther Acres, a Luthercare community delivering skilled nursing care and rehabilitation services in Lititz, PA. This is an exempt-level position.

WHAT YOU DO :
As the Director of Nursing at Luther Acres, your goal will be to develop an effective, efficient, and collaborative work environment as you plan, direct, and supervise nursing team members and nursing operations in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
You will perform a range of duties, including :
- Oversee quality resident care in our 24 / 7 skilled nursing and rehabilitation center.
- Manage nursing services, develop standards of care, and monitor compliance.
- Maintain the nursing budget and initiate controls to minimize waste.
- Interview, select, and evaluate nursing team members and maintain all pertinent documentation.
- Direct the provision of all nursing services, orientation, in-service, and professional / technical development programs for nursing personnel. Offer technical advice and guidance.
- Supervise the admissions / discharge process and make recommendations to improve as appropriate. Research and address resident issues, concerns, and problems. Provide assistance and information to residents and families as appropriate while performing resident documentation as required following Luthercare’s standards. Perform nursing duties following licensure scope of practice.
The ideal candidate for this position is a PA Registered Nurse (BSN) with two years’ experience as a Director of Nursing at a long-term health care center, proven experience in nursing leadership roles and providing geriatric resident care, and in-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing long-term care industry.
