We’re currently seeking a dedicated Senior Center Director for a Full-Time M-F, exempt position, at our Luthercare for Kids locations, to oversee our Annville and Reamstown locations.

WHAT YOU DO :
As a Senior Center Director at Luthercare for Kids, you’re an integral part of nurturing children and providing a firm foundation for their academic and social growth. You’ll do this in several ways, which include :
- Provide oversight for all the Luthercare for Kids Early Learning Centers and mentoring programs, and ensure we are following all regulations set forth by the Department of Human Services and Keystone STARS, including, but not limited to, health & safety standards, staffing requirements, enrollment requirements, maintenance of required records, and year-round maintenance of the annual inspection criteria.
- Operate program in accordance with standards of quality established by Luthercare for Kids to provide an environment that is safe and conducive to learning and development.
- Prepare for and assist with audits by appropriate governing bodies. Recommend creation / revision of policies to verify that standards are met and work with Luthercare’s compliance to maintain standards.
- Maintain elevated enrollment levels, operate centers within budgetary guidelines, and help form an annual budget for each location and mentoring program.
- Supervise team members, schedule staff in accordance with regulatory requirements, and hire and discipline staff as necessary.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, adult clients, team members, volunteers, and community partners.
- Coordinate maintenance of the internal and external physical plant as well as the janitorial functions for the site.
- Use a variety of computer-based programs and reporting functions as part of the daily operations of the center including, but not limited to, billing, accounting, financial reports, payroll, marketing, children’s programming and assessment, children’s records, staff records, and web-based learning.
- Conduct essential marketing activities internally and externally to maintain and build program enrollment, including activities in the evenings and on weekends. Maintain the center at all times for prospective marketing activity. Provide the proper enrollment procedures for all new families and children.
- Provide for the on-going professional development of staff through team meetings, regular observation and feedback, in-service training, and annual performance evaluation. Provide the proper orientation procedures for all new team members and anyone in direct contact with children. Assist in any fundraising / grant-related activities considered essential by the Office of Philanthropy.

Luthercare for Kids is part of Luthercare, a Lutheran social ministry organization with a long history of providing senior care services, early learning programs, and childcare services in Lancaster and Lebanon counties. Luthercare for Kids has two centers, located in Reamstown and Annville. Our experienced teaching staff support children within a safe and secure environment, bringing peace of mind to those who need our care and services. We offer individualized care and education for kids of all ages – from 6 weeks through school-age children. In addition to full-day childcare, we offer before- and after-school care, kindergarten wrap-around care, and summer camp sessions for older children.
