Job Description
The Lutheran Care Center at Poughkeepsie is announcing a search for an onsite full time MDS Manager. This position is responsible for oversight of MDS processes and systems, as well as for providing management and guidance to all MDS staff. The successful candidate will be proficient in assessments and documentation and possess exceptional organizational skills and follow up. The individual will maintain up-to-date knowledge regarding all Federal and State Laws and Regulations pertaining to Medicare Reimbursement and will ensure that all necessary parties are kept up to date.
Incumbent must possess a valid NYS Registered Nursing license, with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. An MDS Certification strongly preferred. A minimum of 2 years of MDS experience is required, with an additional 2-5 years’ experience working in a long-term care setting. Previous management experience is a strong plus.
