Key Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
-Answer incoming calls and e-mails. Greet members and visitors representing the
church in a positive and joyful way.
-Maintain the electronic membership database and keep up-to-date ministerial
acts on behalf of the pastoral team.
-Support the Business Manager by inputting weekly financial giving into the
member management software.
-Worship aid creation and production including print and electronic media
(bulletins, announcement inserts).
-Create and execute weekly and monthly electronic communications.
-Support the maintenance of the church website.
-Schedule and coordinate life-event ministries including baptisms, weddings,
funerals, and facility rentals.
-Oversee and execute strategies for recruiting weekly worship assistants.
-Support ministry staff and activities when called upon.
-Provide office support to lay leaders and their work for the church.
-Maintain print and electronic records of congregational meetings.
-Maintain inventory of office, kitchen, and custodial supplies.

Accountability and Reporting
The Office Administrator will:
-Report directly to the Lead Pastor.
-Participate in a 30 and 90 day review the first year. An annual review thereafter will
assess the Administrator’s effectiveness in fulfilling the responsibilities of the position.
-Attend all appropriate meetings, retreats, and other team-building events for the
congregational staff as determined by the clergy.
-Conduct themselves in a manner supportive to the whole staff.
Compensation and Support
Lutheran Church of the Cross (LCC) will support the Office Administrator in their work through prayer, respect, and support for the sake of our shared ministry in Christ’s name.
Financial Compensation & Benefits
-Retirement contribution matched up to 3% annually after 30 days of continuous employment.
-Paid time off in accordance with the LCC Administrative Staff Vacation Policy.
-Holiday and sick pay after 30 days of continuous employment.

Pay: $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 32 per week
