We offer a wide range of services to individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and beliefs. In the Columbia Basin area, our focus is on intensive behavioral health programs for youth under 21.
In the position of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner , you would be providing comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, consultation, and medication evaluation and management. This includes work with youth in intensive community-based programs such as Stabilization and Wellness in Families Together (SWIFT) and Wraparound with Intensive Services (WISe), offering vital mental health support, crisis management, and resource referrals for youth, families, and community partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Regulatory Compliance : Ensure compliance with all laws, rules, and regulations governing patient care in the State of Washington.
- Pharmacological Management : Apply pharmacological principles within the scope of a PMHNP, prescribing medications as authorized by the Washington Administrative Code.
- Psychiatric Diagnosis : Diagnose psychiatric disorders, conditions, and illnesses.
- Test and Assessment Analysis : Analyze and interpret results from tests and assessments, including blood and urine tests, as well as questionnaires, to determine appropriate treatment options.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patients' physical and mental status for charting and reporting purposes.
- Team Collaboration : Collaborate effectively as a member of a healthcare team, participating in regular team meetings.
- Program Development : Contribute to the development and enhancement of program initiatives.
- Training and Education : Provide training for staff and participants on medication management, monitoring side effects, and implementing non-pharmaceutical interventions for symptom management.
REQUIREMENTS :
Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university with completion of a Nurse Practitioner program specific to the expanded specialty of Psychiatric / Mental Health Nurse
Must hold Washington State Board of Nursing License to practice as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in addition to holding an unrestricted DEA and NPI (should reflect Washington address).
