POSITION SUMMARY: The Healthy Relationships Group Facilitator / Mental Health Clinician is responsible for providing counseling/psychotherapy to various groups, children, families, and adults. This position is also responsible for maintaining accurate records, relating to other staff in a supportive manner, recommending and carrying out agency policies, remaining professionally current, facilitating / cofacilitating Healthy Relationships groups, and representing the agency in the community.
**This is a part time position working approx 10 hours per week**
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS GROUP FACILITATOR:
Facilitate groups of clients who are court mandated, have criminal charges, have ODHS Child Welfare involvement, and are experiencing mental health conditions
Provide culturally mindful / trauma informed mental health treatment services to victims of violence including adults, children, youth, and families
Provide reunification work when appropriate and requested
Conduct Domestic Violence and Anger Management specific evaluations and mental health assessments
Diagnose client problems utilizing the most current DSM format and formulate treatment plans
Complete necessary case notes and records to document assessment & client progress
Utilize and provide consultation to community resources when appropriate
Coordinate and collaborate care with client referents and other community partners
Represent the agency in the community
CLINIC-BASED MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIAN:
Provide culturally mindful mental health treatment services to children, youth, and families experiencing mental health conditions
Conduct mental health screenings and assessments to determine treatment needs
Diagnose utilizing most current DSM format
Facilitate consumer participation in the development of treatment plans based on consumer strengths
Maintain timely case notes and records in alignment with the agency’s documentation standards
Apply evidenced-based practices in treatment
Collaborate with consumer supports, including family members, partner agencies, and others as indicated on an ongoing basis

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or similar clinically related field from a recognized graduate school is required. Experience/training in play therapy and working with children is preferred. Work experience with Domestic Violence and/or providing parent education classes is a plus.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Current counseling certification and licensing in the state of Oregon, or making progress toward securing an Oregon license. Must have a current driver’s license, car insurance, and access to a vehicle.
