The Director of Behavioral Health will develop and implement strategic plans to drive the success and growth of our behavioral health programs. This position is responsible for identifying and pursuing new service lines, partnerships, and market expansion opportunities while ensuring all behavioral health services meet organizational, financial, and compliance objectives. Additionally, the Director will foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability, manage budgets, and lead a high-performing team of behavioral health professionals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong business acumen, a deep understanding of behavioral health services, and the ability to balance clinical expertise with financial and operational management.
Key Responsibilities :
- Strategic Leadership : Develop and implement strategic plans for behavioral health programs to meet organizational goals and drive growth.
- Program Expansion : Identify and pursue growth opportunities, including new service lines, partnerships, and market expansion, to increase the reach and impact of behavioral health services.
- Financial Management : Manage budgets for behavioral health programs, ensuring financial performance aligns with organizational objectives. Conduct cost analyses, forecasting, and revenue cycle management to enhance profitability.
- Collaboration with Finance : Work closely with finance teams to optimize payer relationships, reimbursement strategies, and ensure financial sustainability of the behavioral health program.
- Cultural Leadership : Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation within the department to enhance service delivery and employee engagement.
- Team Development : Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-performing behavioral health team, fostering professional growth and a supportive work environment.
- Stakeholder Relations : Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and regulatory agencies. Represent the organization in public forums and with community partners to advocate for behavioral health initiatives.
- Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all behavioral health programs comply with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, as well as adhere to accreditation standards.
- Risk Management : Maintain policies and procedures that uphold compliance, risk management, and best practices in the delivery of behavioral health services.
