Position Summary:
- The Program Manager of Central Nebraska will lead the refugee programs and oversee the daily operations of refugee resettlement, education, and job training programming to ensure quality and timely program delivery. This position supervises staff working on issues pertaining to employment services, budgeting, career counseling, education, job training, skill development, and other supportive services, including case management, as well as coordination with other stakeholders and community service providers, and other necessary services in the areas within and outside of the program.
Job Duties:
- Oversee daily operations of specialized programs, such as refugee resettlement, refugee social services, ELL classes, job training, preferred communities and economic development programs.
- Support program leaders with the establishment of department goals and monitor progress.
- Supervise staff and ensure adherence to service provision standards and program outcomes.
- Ensure all data tracking for area of supervision is captured and accurate.
- Quality and compliance for case file reviews.
- Cultivate knowledge of, and relationships with, external programs that supplement and enhance refugee programming.
- Supervise staff working on refugee resettlement, employment, education, and other programs as necessary.
- Hiring, training, performance evaluations, and terminations.
- Provide direct client services to clients for escalated situations with clients.
- Identify and coordinate training opportunities for staff to enhance their skills.
- Build partnerships with external stakeholders to enhance opportunities for clients.
- In partnership with manager, develop multi-year operational plans.
- Develop, assess, and manage department goals.
- Leadership based on team empowerment and communication.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services related field preferred.
- Three years’ experience working with refugee programs.
- Knowledge and experience working with diverse populations are preferred.
- Bilingual in English and another language preferred (desired languages mirror the languages spoken by our client populations, including but not limited to Spanish, Karen, Pashto, Dari, Burmese, Somali, Arabic, Russian, etc.).
- Valid driver’s license, liability auto insurance, and ability to drive for organizational business.
Physical Requirements:
- A hybrid and in-person work environment with a laptop (in the office, in the community, and remote).
- Travel to various locations to support client services, as needed and as applicable by region, including Grand Island, and Kearney.
- Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to meet client needs (as directed).
