What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Med Tech (CMT) position at Lutheran Home?
The Lutheran Home is excited to offer a fantastic day shift opportunity for a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Med Tech (CMT) to join our team. In this full-time, 12-hour shift role, you’ll be responsible for administering medications and providing essential support to ensure the comfort and well-being our residents. As a member of our dedicated team, you’ll help uphold our values of service, excellence, dignity, fulfillment, grace, and stewardship. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Administer prescribed medications to residents and maintain related medical records under supervision of a nurse.
- Takes vital signs or observes patient to detect response to specified types of medications and prepares report or notifies designated personnel of unexpected reaction.
- Assist residents with ADL care as needed.
- Answer call lights and take appropriate action.
- Complete documentation accurately, timely, and following facility policies and procedures.
- Review resident’s care plans and performs nursing care as outlined.
In this full-time role, you’ll follow a consistent two-week schedule, working 7 out of 14 days with every other weekend off. The day shift runs from 6:45 am to 7:15 pm, offering a great work-life balance. As a valued full-time team member, you will enjoy our many benefits including:
