The Lutheran Home is seeking a Full-time Cook to join our healthcare community, a position where you can truly put your passion for cooking to work. As a Cook, you will prepare nutritious and delicious meals that enhance the well-being of our residents. This position requires flexibility with a combination of shifts. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Prepares quality food products in large quantities for regular and modified diets according to the menu and spreadsheets.
- Prepares, serves, and stores foods at proper temperatures and according to sanitation and safety guidelines.
- Serves foods in proper portions and in an attractive manner.
- Promotes a positive team culture within the dining services department.
- Takes appropriate care of food service equipment, reports maintenance issues, and operates equipment in a safe manner.
- Follows sanitary guidelines and routinely performs cleaning, both assigned and unassigned.
- Performs necessary tasks to meet the needs of the residents’ specific to their diet and food preferences.
- Acts responsibly to avoid food waste.
- Assists with receiving and storage of products.
- Ensures food product is properly rotated, labeled and dated.
In this position, your shifts will be a combination of 5:00 am – 1:30 pm and 11:00 am – 7:30 pm. As a full-time team member, you will be able to take part in our many benefits including:
