What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Assistant position at Lutheran Homes of South Carolina Inc?
Daily sorts and cleans soiled linens and Resident clothing using the washing equipment, loads the clean linens / clothes into the dryer and then folds and stacks the clean linens and clothes into appropriate groupings to be distributed back to the Residents or storage areas.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be knowledgeable in general cleaning techniques for clothing and linens and the proper uses of certain cleaning agents.
- Must be mindful at all times of proper techniques to be observed when dealing with soiled clothing and / or linens used by Residents having infectious / contagious conditions.
