HIRING A MAINTENANCE TECH
Do you have previous experience completing a variety of projects as a handyman or maintenance technician? Lutheran Life Villages Pine Valley Assisted Living community is looking for you!
The Maintenance Tech works with the Director of Maintenance in maintaining our Pine Valley campus. The tech renders a variety of general maintenance tasks and repairs, performs cleaning duties, and provides painting services as needed.

Job Qualifications
Education/Training
- Trade School certificate preferred. Specifically, Electrical or HVAC
Experience
- Five (5) years' experience performing a variety of maintenance activities; at least one year experience in a nursing home environment is preferred.
- Previous Safety program experience with working knowledge of OSHA; Life Safety Code, Building Code & ANSI
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, and building specification manuals; (i.e. building codes and Fire Safety codes)
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, refrigeration and heating.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English.
- Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools and equipment associated with carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
- Ability to enter data in computer system accurately; maintain reports, record-keeping, basic math skills. Familiar with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word & Excel)
