Lutheran Life Villages is hiring a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) for our independent living community at the South Anthony Blvd campus. Seeking a caring individual who takes pride in providing top-notch customer service for the members of our Residential Living community.
Full-Time position, 40 hours per week.
Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm; Every 5th weekend required

Job Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
Education/Training
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Must have a valid driver's license (a satisfactory motor vehicle driving history required).
Experience
- Experience in home care and/or other human services position or related field.
- Experience working with and/or caring for the elderly population preferred.
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Strong verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work some weekends.
- Basic knowledge of computers.
General Statement of Duties
To primarily provide housekeeping services for members of the Residential Living community at South Anthony Boulevard.
Essential Job Functions
- Primarily responsible for providing housekeeping services through tasks assigned that may include, but are not limited to, the following: cleaning dishes; washing, drying, and folding laundry; tidying up the apartment; dusting and vacuuming, reminding the client to take medication, etc. Some responsibilities may include cooking a meal; running an errand such as grocery shopping, etc.; assisting the client with limited banking and minor money transactions; assisting the client with a bath/shower, dressing and/or grooming; reading to the client, playing cards and/or other games; conversing.
- Thoroughly completes the tasks outlined in the plan of care developed for each client.
- Communicates with the Director of Member Services on a regular basis regarding the effectiveness of the services being provided for a client and the relationship with the client.
- Communicate with the Director any changes or concerns regarding a client’s health and/or the appropriateness of services being delivered.
- Required to have a reliable vehicle, cell phone, and internet access for this job.
- Completes all other tasks as assigned by the Director.
