Lutheran Senior Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate HealthCare Services Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
About the Position:
As a HealthCare Services Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our residents. This includes performing various tasks such as orienting residents to our facility, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and delivering mail. You will also communicate effectively with residents, answer call bells in a timely manner, and convey their needs to licensed nurses or certified nursing assistants. Additionally, you will practice efficient use of supplies, linen, and equipment, transport residents via wheelchair as required, make unoccupied beds, and distribute linens.
Responsibilities:
Your key responsibilities will include coordinating specific work tasks with other personnel, reporting pertinent information to supervisors, and providing excellent customer service. You will also need to maintain awareness of all services offered by Lutheran Senior Services and actively promote them to prospective clients, residents, and families.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess verbal and numerical skills to read, write, and communicate effectively. You should also be able to lift up to 50 lbs., push/pull 45 lbs., and stand for long periods. A well-lighted and ventilated working area is provided, but you may be exposed to emotionally upset residents, family members, and infectious waste.
