We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to join our Home Care team in Center Township, PA.
Lutheran SeniorLife provides a wide range of community-based health and social services throughout western Pennsylvania.
Program Overview
LIFE (Living Independence for the Elderly) is an all-inclusive comprehensive program that supports individuals in maintaining their independence in their home and community.
The program offers person-centered services, from medical care to adult day supports, with the primary goal of allowing individuals to remain in their own home.
Caregiver Responsibilities
As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for assisting participants with:
- Personal care activities
- Instrumental activities of daily living
You will also implement strategies for promoting increased levels of self-care and independence when possible.
Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, you must have:
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1 year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Dependable transportation with a valid driver's license
- At least 1 year experience working with the frail or elderly
