Location: This position can be located in the Rapid City, Spearfish, Chamberlain, Sioux Falls or the Pierre area
Hours: 40 hours per week – Monday through Friday with occasional evening/weekend hours
Salary: Dependent on experience and qualifications

Responsibilities:
Kinship Social Workers assist the family members of children in South Dakota DSS/CPS custody through the Kinship Home Study process.
The Kinship Social Worker uses the Protective Factors Capacity Assessment Model to assess and evaluate potential kinship placements for youth.
In this position, you will partner with families to complete the home study process, write the home study assessment, and provide resources and support to families throughout the process.
You will be a valuable member of the LSS Kinship Team and work collaboratively with South Dakota DSS/CPS.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in social work or in a related field preferred, plus one to two years of related experience.
Licensed as a Social Worker or Social Work Associate (or the ability to be licensed) through the South Dakota Board of Social Work Examiners.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must successfully complete all agency background checks.
Requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain approved driver status.
