Laundry Aide/Housekeeper
Part Time Weekends * $14/hr
Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is currently seeking a Laundry Aide for Kensington Place in Columbus, Ohio. Kensington Place offers beautiful, comfortable and secure Senior Living options including Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care.

The Laundry Aide/Housekeeper is responsible for providing laundry service in a clean, sanitary, safe, orderly and attractive manner in accordance with established procedures, and as directed by the supervisor, to assure that the highest degree of cleanliness and sanitation is maintained at all times. Responsible for maintaining the highest degree of overall cleanliness, sanitation, and safety of resident rooms and assigned areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES for a Laundry Aide/Housekeeper with Lutheran Social Services:
- Sort, wash, and dry linens and residents' personal clothing.
- Deliver linens and personal clothing items to resident rooms.
- Fold, stack, and hang laundry and linens.
- Practice proper procedures to prevent or minimize the spread of infection.
- Operate machinery and equipment according to manufacturer's recommendations and departmental guidelines.
- Thoroughly clean resident rooms, hallways, lounges and assigned areas.
- Perform floor care duties.
- Ensure that supply cart is cleaned, maintained and stored according to departmental procedure.
- Knowledgeable of all chemicals used.
- Use and monitor supplies according to department procedures.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS for a Laundry Aide/Housekeeper with Lutheran Social Services:
- High school education or equivalent
- Previous laundry experience in an institutional setting is preferred
