LSSI is hiring a full-time Direct Service Person. Provide a clean and safe home for the resident. To perform direct care and give assistance to a high need individual in their home in accordance with the individual’s personal plan.
Schedule:
Monday & Tuesday 1pm-10pm
Saturday 9am-5pm
Sunday 12pm-10pm

- Manage and supervise the daily routines of the resident’s living environment.
- Provide high need residents with direct care assistance as required or identified.
- Provide accurate and current documentation relative to residents and their home.
- Commit to and actively participate in following all procedures identified by supervisor.
- Actively assure that the living environment is kept clean and safe and completing special assigned duties.
- Accompany residents on community outings; participate in scheduled activities enthusiastically.
- Perform all scheduled safety drills, document and turn into supervisor.
- Work personally with the residents assisting with scheduled programs as determined by the personal plan.
- Prepare and serve meals as planned per dietician or adopted menus.
- Act as mandated reporters, ensuring the residents are treated fairly and respectfully at all times.
- Performs other related tasks as needed.
- High school diploma or GED.
- DSP Certification preferred.
- Excellent communication, organization, presentation and pc/computer skills (including proficiency with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) along with other related software.
- Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage bodily.
- Injury, property damage if using own vehicle to transport.
- Valid Illinois driver’s license and proof of automobile liability insurance preferred.
