Responsible for performing routine and extensive range of work to maintain all facets of the physical CILA building, grounds and equipment in accordance with health and safety requirements at Washington Place, CILA Group Home in Beardstown, IL.
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 5:00pm to 5:30pm (approximately 2.5 hrs per week).

- Alert to and take action to avoid all physical conditions that may be a hazard to the health and safety of residents, clients and/or staff.
- Performing repair or general maintenance work t the facility including but not limited to electrical, carpentry, plumbing and painting.
- Perform maintenance tasks on a regular basis at assign facility.
- Troubleshoot and repair household appliances, emergency equipment, reporting mechanical malfunctions to appropriate party for action.
- Repairing and treating structures such as showers, floors, sinks, walls, carpets and roofs.
- Performing minor repairs, trouble shooting, and adjustment of locks on cabinets, closets, etc.
- Repairing door hinges, cleaning plugged key slots, changing filters on ventilating, heating and air conditioning units.
- Respond to on-call emergencies.
- Complete monthly and annual preventive maintenance forms.
- Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members and collaborative organizations and/or collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Trade school training and HVAC certification preferred.
- Five (5) to ten (10) years’ experience in building maintenance preferred.
- Must possess tools common to the trades.
- Demonstrated ability to properly and safely use hand tools including, but not limited to hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, hand saw, measuring devices, cutters and punches.
- Demonstrated ability to properly and safely use power tools including but not limited to saws (circular, reciprocating, table saber), power drills, demolition hammers, sewer rodding machines, floor machines, power actuated tools, and lawn care equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent organization, presentation and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
- Valid driver’s license, in good standing for the state of residency required.
- Access to reliable transportation required.
- Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damage required.
