Food Service Assistant - Part Time - Hultquist Place

Qualifications: High School Diploma / GED Preferred but not required. On the job training is provided.

Salary Range: $15.50-$18.51 an hour, based on experience. 

Job Duties:

• Follows time activity schedule for the job assigned to include routing, organized tasks. 
• Maintains a pace consistent with the work schedule.
• Is accurate in weighing and measuring food and portion control.
• Maintains a work area and equipment in a sanitary manner by using established procedures.
• Cooperates with fellow employees and is willing to assist where and when needed.
• Follows established policies and procedures set forth by the Lutheran Facility and the Dietary Department.
• Obeys safety rules and regulations of department and reports any faulty working equipment and unsafe conditions to department supervisor.
• Performs related work as requested by the Food Service Supervisor.
• Understands the use of materials and methods in large scale food operations along with the use and care of equipment.
• Effectively manages time needs to complete activities that are scheduled each shift.
• Operates kitchen food preparation equipment and dish washing equipment.
• May use recipes for food production.
• Working in a dish room with large dish machine.
• Washing pots and pans by hand and other cleaning equipment.
• Utilizes proper cleaning products and follows established procedures to complete assigned cleaning areas. 
• Accurately follows written and oral communications in a timely manner. 
• Cooperates with fellow employees inside and outside of the department to carry out assigned duties. 
• Adheres to the Lutheran QAPI (Quality Assurance Performance Improvement) Plan by participating in efforts to improve the way we care for and engage with our residents and contributes to the solution for improving outcomes.
• Safety – Follows required safety procedures
• In-services – Attends all required in-service training for all food service employees or Lutheran staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
