Lutron is seeking a Global Purchasing Process Owner out of Center Valley, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the global purchasing process to drive standardization, efficiency, and compliance. This role ensures purchasing processes align with business strategy, digital transformation, and regulatory requirements, while fostering strong collaboration across supply chain, procurement, IT, and finance teams.
In this position, you will work closely with the Continuous Improvement Leader to identify, scope, and prioritize purchasing-related process improvement projects that align with broader supply chain transformation initiatives. Additionally, you will provide strategic oversight for the implementation of our digital purchasing tools such as SAP and Ariba, ensuring alignment with global procurement processes.
Responsibilities:
- Define and Govern Purchasing Processes
- Establish and assess purchasing processes in alignment with corporate goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Govern SAP S/4HANA Procure-to-Pay and to ensure seamless execution.
- Process scope includes supplier Management, strategic sourcing, contract management, purchase requisition & approval , purchase order (PO) management , goods Receipt & invoice , accounts payable & payment processing.
- Strategic Oversight of SAP and Ariba Implementation
- Provide strategic guidance to ensure SAP and Ariba aligns with global procurement processes and objectives.
- Overseeing SAP and Ariba track leads to ensure proper implementation, integration, and business adoption.
- Establish metrics and governance structures for post-go-live adherence and continuous optimization.
- Support change management and business engagement to maximize value realization.
- Continuous Improvement & Performance Monitoring
- Partner with the Global Continuous Improvement Leader to establish and execute purchasing-related improvement projects.
- Define and track key purchasing performance metrics (e.g., PO cycle time, supplier OTD, cost savings, compliance rates).
- Identify opportunities for automation, AI-driven insights, and purchasing process efficiency.
- Define and drive MRP data quality and close-loop feedback processes for better purchasing decisions with operation data domain lead.
- Standardization & Transformation
- Drive global standardization of purchasing processes, ensuring consistency across regions.
- Oversee the purchasing process and tech transformation, ensuring alignment with SAP S/4HANA, SAP IBP and Ariba functionalities.
- Eliminate siloed practices and drive cross-functional collaboration for procurement excellence.
- Change Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead change initiatives, ensuring adoption of new policies, tools, and procurement automation strategies.
- Partner with supply chain, finance, IT, organization change management, and site purchasing teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Ensure proper training, adoption, and continuous learning across purchasing teams.
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Partnerships
- Work closely with the Global Process Owner (GPO) Leader and other GPOs to ensure alignment with the end-to-end supply chain process and drive improvement of key business KPIs.
- Engage with SAP COE, master data management teams, and IBP/E1 integration teams to maintain purchasing system integrity.
- Partner with global, regional, and site-based material managers, commodity owners to optimize purchasing strategic planning and execution.
- Align with procurement and finance teams to enhance compliance and supplier collaboration.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure global purchasing policies, and supplier qualification standards are met from process perspective.
- Maintain process documentation, governance structures, and training materials to support purchasing excellence.
- Collaborate with finance and audit teams to ensure procurement controls and reporting accuracy.
- Expertise & Thought Leadership
- Act as the process authority for purchasing, guiding best practices, and leveraging digital procurement solutions.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, procurement automation, and process optimization opportunities.
- Ensure alignment of SAP purchasing processes with long-term business strategy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 10 years of experience in global procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Proven expertise in SAP S/4HANA (Procure-to-Pay), SAP Ariba, and digital procurement transformation.
- Experience in governing large-scale procurement transformation projects.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct execution responsibility.
- Proven understanding of compliance, audit requirements, and supplier qualification processes.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, change leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, global, and matrixed organization.
