Overview:
Lutron has an immediate opening for an experienced Learning & Development (L&D) expert within our Talent Development team out of our Corporate Headquarters in Coopersburg, PA. As a Sales Learning Partner, you will collaborate with leaders and managers in our sales organization, as well as our HR business partners, to support the professional growth and development of Lutron’s sales talent. Additionally, you will ensure alignment of sales development initiatives with broader L&D strategies and the philosophies of the company and other departments.
Responsibilities:
  • Identify and assess the learning needs of sales employees, managers, and leaders.
  • Develop and implement learning solutions that support sales goals and align to corporate L&D values, principles, and objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with sales Leaders and HR Business Partners, providing thought leadership and influencing the overall talent development strategy of the sales department.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the Sales function and our corporate learning function (i.e., Lutron University), ensuring alignment between sales-specific learning goals and the broader company L&D strategy.
  • Enhance the effectiveness of our sales junior talent development program for our new, entry-level sales employees, ensuring the program’s success in accelerating their onboarding, ramp-up, and growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement in development plans, learning solutions, and content through ongoing program evaluation and analysis.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in learning & development roles; preferably roles supporting a sales function
  • Solid understanding of how adults acquire and retain skills & knowledge as well as curriculum and instructional design
  • Experience and understanding of the fundamentals of Performance Consulting – determining and prioritizing the most important issues to work on
  • Passion for learning and development and enabling change resulting in positive performance improvement and positive business outcomes
  • Strong empathy – ability to put oneself in internal customers’ shoes and ask, “will this learning solution be perceived as high value by my customers?”
  • Proven communication skills and ability to influence/persuade others, gaining support for new directions and solutions
  • Proven skills in dealing with and leveraging conflict and disagreement (e.g., between department goals and corporate goals); comfortable being in the middle of conflicting demands and thrives on converging such conflict to solutions; person must have a collaborative mindset along with high resiliency
  • Ability to operate successfully driving through ambiguous, uncertain situations
