Quality Assurance Technician
- Hiring for 3rd Shift
- Starting at $22.50/hr. plus 10% Shift Differential ($24.75/hr.)
Lutron Electronics Co., Inc has an immediate opening for a Quality Technician at our facility in Ashland, VA. In this position, you would be a key part of the Shading Solutions Manufacturing team.
As part of our 3rd Shift team, you will have the opportunity to build a career with a technology company by working in a hands-on environment. Quality Technicians work within all production departments while performing a wide range of responsibilities to support our manufacturing operations. As part of your career development, you will rotate through our multiple departments, gaining exposure to the broad range of equipment, processes, and technologies employed in our products. In order to assist with your career development, we offer an education reimbursement program so that you can attend college courses to prepare yourself for additional responsibilities and opportunities within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Follow detailed process instructions to evaluate products and materials
- Assist production teams in assuring products meet the needs of our worldwide customers
- Learn new process and procedures quickly to ensure quality on innovative products and materials
- Steer adherence to procedures and continuous improvement of procedures and standard work practices in the plant utilizing strong communication skills
- Work with our supply chain and distribution teams to assess materials and in-process inventory
- Use proven math and computer skills to provide insight into quality results and metrics
- Stay aligned to Lutron’s culture and values
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in a technical field with minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7
- 1 to 5 years’ experience in quality or related production field (preferred)
- Flexibility to work on evening shifts
- Ability to routinely lift up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions in English
