Lutron Electronics Co., Inc has an immediate opening for a Quality Technician at our facility in Ashland, VA. In this position, you would be a key part of the Shading Solutions Manufacturing team. A successful Quality Technician will have a customer focused attitude, help drive continuous improvement projects, be a self-starter, and be able to build a culture of quality.

- Assist production teams with floor calls and guidance to ensure products meet the needs of our worldwide customers
- Perform analysis of failures with in-depth investigation notes to a suspected root cause
- Learn new processes and procedures quickly to ensure quality on innovative products and materials
- Identify process improvement projects and work towards completing assigned projects (CI projects)
- Provide training and mentoring for Technicians and auditors
- Collaborate with other departments in various improvement activities, investigations, and knowledge sharing (i.e. Tier meetings, safety concerns, tooling updates, etc.)
- Use proven math and computer skills to provide insight into quality results and metrics

- Associate or bachelor's degree in a technical field
- Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required
- 1 to 5 years’ experience in quality or related production field (preferred)
- Flexibility to work on evening shifts
- Ability to routinely lift up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions in English
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stand for extended period of time
- Ability to move to surrounding workstations
