OverviewLutron has an immediate need for an Architectural Rendering Specialist to join the Communications team at our New York City office location. In this role, you will support the creative development and execution of marketing materials. As an expert in interior architectural rendering and environmental design, you will collaborate with a creative team to develop visual assets for marketing communications, as well as creating environmental spaces such as tradeshow booths and experiential vignettes that can be used demonstrating Lutron products. To succeed, you must exhibit outstanding design skill and be able to work collaboratively with the program manager and creative team to build market leading materials. As an Architectural Rendering Specialist, you will build working knowledge of clients’ business challenges to develop and implement designs that address specific marketing objectives. For select assignments, you will also be expected to help develop creative strategies and conceptual development.ResponsibilitiesExecute the design of marketing assets as specified by creative / marketing briefs under the direction of creative leadership, account team, and clientsBrainstorm and strategize with the creative team to help develop creative direction with a focus on the look and feel of the marketing materialsConvert rough ideas into visual prototypes (e.g., sketches, storyboards) to illustrate concepts for creative reviewsCollaborate with the copywriting team to artfully build creative solutions that address project objectivesCollaborate with outside partners, including agencies, photographers, videographers, and illustratorsWork on projects from initial development to final execution and production of creative assets, with great attention to detail, ensuring accuracyBe a steward of good design to ensure deliverables meet or exceed design objectivesContribute to our evolving brand guidelines and ensure they are embraced and adhered to in all executionsWork to improve the team’s overall performance, mentoring and developing the junior team membersBe open to feedback and willing to integrate ideas from other designers, project managers and internal requestors and interpret them into execution within the parameters of the creative brief and brand standardsPartner with creative leadership, account team, and the business to achieve effective and efficient outcomesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior design or related fieldMinimum cumulative GPA of 3.00Minimum 7 years of experience in creative development and execution; supervisory experience beneficial but not required Portfolio that shows strategic and conceptual design applied across a range of deliverables – web, digital, photo / videoProven expertise with rendering Rhino, AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, Solidworks, Blender, Cinema 4DMotion graphics / animation or AI generative tools experience a plus Domestic and International travel a possibilityStarting pay : $125,000 / yr to $165,000 / yr; Lutron's employee benefits include 401k match, health, dental, and life insurance, paid vacation (amount based on tenure with the company), flexible spending accounts, and tuition reimbursement programs.
