Systems Engineers at Lutron participate within a cross-functional team to conceptualize, design, and develop innovative, high-quality consumer products and services for commercial and residential use.
There are a variety of technologies and concepts throughout the product lifecycle that you could encounter from day one, such as :
- Highly configurable products such as motorized window shades, light fixtures, power panels, or personalizable keypads
- Design for business, engineering, and manufacturing requirements and constraints
- Mass customization manufacturing processes, dynamic work instructions, bills of material and end-of-line verification
- Product Configuration Rules Engines, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Configure Price Quote (CPQ), and eCommerce platforms
- Data and logical flow design, implementation, and validation
- Version control, software test methodologies, and database technologies
Responsibilities
Work closely with a cross-functional team of other highly skilled engineers and product managers to understand the technical and business requirements for a product or product family
Influence good development practices, process improvements, clean designs, smart testing and thorough review
