Position Summary:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment, with a focus on PLC systems, high tension electrical projects, switch gears, transformers, and HTLC panels. This role requires a strong technical foundation in electrical engineering combined with practical experience to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of electrical systems throughout the facility.

Support the design, modification, and implementation of electrical systems and controls
Assist in the installation, programming, and maintenance of PLC systems
Support high tension electrical projects under senior engineer guidance
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical switch gears and transformers
Assist in troubleshooting complex electrical problems and implementing appropriate solutions
Support the development and maintenance of HTLC panels and related control systems
Prepare and update electrical drawings and documentation
Conduct electrical load calculations and assist with system modifications
Support energy efficiency improvements for electrical systems
Collaborate with maintenance teams on electrical repairs and upgrades
Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards
Participate in root cause analysis for electrical failures
Implement OSHA and electrical safety standards in work culture
Follow lock-out/tag-out procedures for all electrical work
Maintain clean and safe work environment at all times

Required Competencies:
Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices
Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting
Familiarity with high tension electrical systems and components
Knowledge of electrical switch gears and transformer operations
Experience working with HTLC panels and control systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
Understanding of electrical codes (NEC) and safety standards
Proficient in using electrical diagnostic tools and equipment
Knowledge of motor controls and variable frequency drives
Basic understanding of power distribution systems
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Self-starter yet able to follow instructions as directed
Able to listen effectively and get clarification
Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position
Able to use equipment and materials properly at all times

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required
4-5 years of experience in industrial electrical systems
Experience with PLC programming and maintenance (Allen Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
Demonstrated experience with high tension electrical projects
Practical knowledge of electrical switch gears and transformers
Experience working with HTLC panels and related control systems
Understanding of electrical safety procedures and lockout/tagout protocols
Experience with electrical troubleshooting in manufacturing environments
