Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated FTTH Install techs and drop techs to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of cabling systems and network equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications and electrical work, with a focus on delivering high-quality service to our clients. This position requires both technical expertise and excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure cabling systems for various telecommunications applications.
- Conduct network installation tasks, including the setup of Cisco routers and other networking equipment.
- Utilize hand tools and voltmeters to ensure proper installation and functionality of cabling systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on existing installations to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide field service support to clients, addressing any issues or concerns related to their cabling systems.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively while adhering to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls.
Experience
- Proven experience in cable installation or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts and practices.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and components as they relate to telecommunications.
- Experience working with hand tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters.
- Previous experience as a service technician in the telecommunications industry is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in the field.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- New FTTH drops & full installs for newly acquired Charter customers
- Potential for pre-drop work
- Selection based on skillset, commitment, tools, etc.
- Per Diem: $150/day
