Job Description:

As an ALTERATIONS SPECIALIST you will add value to our Brides experience by guiding them through the alterations process. Our alterations specialist are able to be an expert on techniques and the alterations process. They are able to effortlessly support our Brides needs by offering thoughtful solutions. You are a great listener and committed to the LUV experience. As a member of a team, you are willing to roll up yourselves and help when needed.

Customer Experience:

• Welcome guests with a warm inviting demeanor and create positive energy in your appointments 
• Present yourself in a professional manner to the team and customers over the phone, in store, and online
• Ability to use all platforms to make confirmation calls, schedule appointments, and schedule follow up appointments
• You are prepared for your appointments and actively look for ways to surpass customers expectations
• Communicate customer needs and identify the need for leadership support before issues are escalated
• Solves customer service issues in a swift and effective manner in line with company policies and procedures
• Ability to assist stylist and showroom team with brides and guests by answering questions, providing re-assurance, and managing expectations
• Educate team members on alterations process and what we are able to accomplish consistently and exceeding customers expectations
• Continually thinking of opportunities to evolve the customer’s experience
• Assisting in other areas as requested/assigned by showroom leadership

Operations:

• Ensure that alterations work spaces are kept in pristine condition
• Steaming gowns, maintaining quality control guidelines on all goods altered, and verifies every item is in pristine condition before customer pick up 
• Completing all follow ups and customer questions in a timely manner
• Ability to time manage during appointments, steaming, sewing, and fittings
• Input orders with accuracy
• Ensuring pricing is in line with company policies and procedures
• Presenting yourself in a professional manner inline with company dress code
• Maintain inventory and manage supplies 
• Assisting other team members with tasks as needed

The Details:

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

• 1-2 years of retail experience in bridal or other service-based business
• Sewing experience in bridal required.
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Humble and able to work in a team environment
  

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time; reach for tools and objects with hands and arms; climb stairs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; ability to bend, twist and stand; move throughout the store; and talk to and hear customers. Manual dexterity to perform non-selling responsibilities, such as use of POS (Point of Sale) terminals, counting money, steaming garments, accessing computers and receiving or initiating telephone calls. Manual dexterity to sew and perform fittings to David’s Bridal standards, as needed. Ability to lift/and or move up to 10 pounds. The employee must be able to see up close and at a distance, as well as use peripheral vision and depth perception, and be able to look at, read, and use a computer, electronic devices and phones for long periods of time.
