Position Overview
The Laboratory Technician provides technical support and analytical services to the manufacturing process. The candidate that fills this role will be required to work rotating weekends.
Responsibilities
- Perform testing on product and manufacturing processes
- Note trends and/or deviations from historical of data or specification.
- Develop options to existing test methods and recommend ideas for alternative test methods. Suggest ideas for process improvement
- Provide accurate and timely verification of test results, comparing results to customer specifications
- Maintain lab equipment. Evaluate existing maintenance schedules to improve equipment accuracy, effectiveness, and longevity
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Chemistry of equivalent
- 1 to 3 years of related experience in analytical services and laboratory testing procedures.
- Ability to operate a variety of equipment such as a micrometer, tensile tester, resistivity meter, spectrometer, etc.
- Requires attention to analytical procedures and the ability to organize work and deadlines.
