Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals in delivering high-quality services. Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software, Eaglesoft.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain an aseptic environment in the clinic.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed during patient visits.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with prosthodontics is essential.
- Experience with dental clinic operations and understanding of anatomy knowledge is preferred.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques to ensure safety and cleanliness in the clinical setting.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, providing them with reassurance and guidance throughout their visit.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is a plus.
- Capability to perform basic vital sign assessments when required.
