What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRN Infusion Nurse position at LUX Infusion?

LUX Infusion is seeking a PRN Infusion Nurse in our Anchorage location. Infusion Nurse would work primarily with adults, peds experience a plus!
CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strong venous access skills; must be able to access peripheral veins easily without backup.
- Performs venipuncture. Possible accesses implanted ports or PICC lines.
- Flexibility to work alternate shifts on short notice.
- Patient-centric attitude and commitment to quality client care. Answers questions and provides information to patients on compound ingredients, dosage, storage medication(s), use of medication(s), pertinent interaction(s) and other information relating to the compounded medication(s).
- Mixes pharmaceutical preparations and appropriately labels containers.
- Establishes and maintains compounding records and enters prescription data accurately.
- Assists the clinic team in providing patient care.
- Providing open communication with attending clinical nurse practitioner in regards to patient treatment, promptly alerting s/he to any safety concerns.
- Assists in maintaining inventory of the IV area, including, but not limited to: labels, medication, compounding ingredients, vials, etc.
- Cleans and helps maintain equipment and work areas according to SOPs.
- Maintains proper storage and security conditions of medications, ingredients, and finished compounds.
- Triage patient phone calls as needed and documents relevant information in the client’s chart.
- Have a working knowledge of all the infusions, their purpose, and side effects.
- Infusion case management
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred)
- RN license-unrestricted State of Alaska
- Current BLS-CPR certification
- Infusion therapy experience and training
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Infusion Nurse Certification (CRNI) (preferred)
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
