Position Summary
The Activities Coordinator at Lux Living is responsible for designing and implementing a diverse range of activities that enrich the lives of our residents. This role emphasizes creating personalized, engaging programs that reflect Lux Living's commitment to luxury, authenticity, and genuine care, ensuring each resident feels valued and part of a vibrant community.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Development & Implementation
- Personalized Activity Planning: Develop and execute a varied calendar of recreational, educational, and social activities tailored to the unique interests and abilities of each resident, promoting graceful aging in a luxurious environment.
- Event Coordination: Organize group activities, resources, and special events that foster socialization and community engagement, ensuring all events align with Lux Living's high standards of comfort and elegance.
- Adaptability: Modify activities to accommodate residents with varying cognitive and physical abilities, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.
Resident Engagement & Well-Being
- Community Building: Cultivate a warm and respectful atmosphere where residents feel at home, encouraging participation and fostering meaningful relationships among residents and staff.
- Feedback Integration: Regularly solicit and incorporate feedback from residents and their families to continuously enhance the activities program, reflecting Lux Living's dedication to treating every resident like family.
Collaboration & Teamwork
- Interdisciplinary Coordination: Work closely with caregivers, medical staff, and other team members to integrate activities into comprehensive care plans that prioritize residents' well-being.
- Volunteer and Community Partnerships: Establish and maintain relationships with community organizations, volunteers, and entertainers to introduce diverse and enriching experiences to the residents.
QualificationsRequired:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Proven experience in activity coordination, recreation therapy, or a related role within a healthcare or senior living setting.
- Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, with a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of seniors.
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings, as needed.
- Ability to pass background check
Preferred:
- Specialized Experience: Experience working with individuals with dementia or cognitive impairments.
- First Aid and CPR: Certification or willingness to obtain.
Physical Requirements
- Mobility: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and assist residents as needed.
- Stamina: Frequent standing, walking, and bending.
- Setup: Capability to transport and arrange activity equipment.
