We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. Duties
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling of items.
- Operate a box truck or van, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Utilize a pallet jack when necessary for moving heavy items within the warehouse or during deliveries.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals at destinations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
- Assist with moving items as needed within the warehouse environment.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong driving skills with experience operating manual transmission vehicles.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Physical stamina for lifting heavy items and standing for extended periods.
